rattling air conditioning
the room wasnt great. also, the air conditioning made a loud rattling noise that kept me awake. these two things really affected my sleep. i mentioned it at reception, but they just shrugged.

breakfast had multiple options and a conscientious staff. the location was close to the riverfront. it was an easy walk to the wineries across the bridge. the front desk people were courteous and helpful (always a plus!).
my room was somewhat dark, facing a restaurant and an apartment. the curtains also did not fully close, a slight inconvenience.

the hotel location is excellent for exploring. it is a short walk to the riverside. breakfast included a wide variety of choices with many healthy options. the front desk staff were helpful and hospitable. i enjoyed a wonderful free breakfast.
the street is narrow and one-way, so uber drivers couldn't drop me off directly in front of the hotel. i had to walk half a block to meet them. it was inconvenient especially on a rainy day

the room was quiet at night. it included usb sockets, a safe, and a mini-bar. the bathroom was a decent size, and the walk-in shower was good and powerful.

The location was fantastic. I easily walked to many attractions. my room featured perfect cleanliness and very comfortable beds. the staff offered wonderful suggestions for local restaurants and transportation.
the room had no coffee makers, nor hot water kettels, coffee or tea available. this was somewhat of a letdown, as i enjoy a morning coffee.
